Our Humble Beginning

Our vision and mission was birthed after our founder had a rare visitation from Jesus during the worldwide pandemic.

Jesus appeared to Lori one morning in 2022 as she was getting ready to go to work as a healthcare practitioner at her integrative wellness center in New Jersey, as she did every day for the past 30 years . . .

Except this day was different, never to be forgotten and forever changed her!

Jesus came to sit next to her and was grieving and in tears while sharing these words: "My children do not understand that it is not Me that is causing all of this turmoil and loss in their lives." She looked into His eyes, with tears in her own eyes, and said to Jesus: "I know it is not you doing these hurtful things in this world. You would never hurt your children.

I want to help people understand the TRUTH of your Word and how much you LOVE them! Jesus, show me what to do, and I will do it!" Lori tangibly felt the overwhelming pain of grief and sorrow as seen in Jesus's eyes that morning.

Lori, a lifelong Christian, was raised by a single parent-her Mom- who had been widowed when Lori was almost 2 years old. Throughout her childhood, Lori had experienced many creative miracles of God and she knew that the love of her heavenly Father God was, and is, always with her.

Interestingly, just a few months prior to this visitation from Jesus, Lori had started to take a few college Bible and Theology classes at Warrior Notes School of Ministry (WNSM),under the teachings of Dr. Kevin L. Zadai.

Dr. Zadai and his wife Kathi have been called to activate the body of Christ and impart kingdom truths to believers worldwide.

Shortly thereafter, Lori became a matriculated theology student at WNSM, and began hosting two weekly, Warrior Fellowship Bible groups for women, in September 2022. In addition, at the encouragement of WNSM, she started a small food pantry in her wellness center, shortly thereafter, because she saw that her patients were struggling to buy healthy food. In the weekly group fellowship meetings, she began sharing all of the miracle stories God performed in her life, in application to the powerful weekly scripture lessons. Her passion to teach and apply the Word of God, grew and grew, as the women in the groups yearned for Biblical truth and practical application of the scriptures.

Then, another divine, God appointment . . . One afternoon that Fall, when she was dining at one of her favorite restaurants, with her teenage son, she was greeted by the manager, who had been attending one of her Warrior Fellowships. While they began eating their appetizers, the manager began to share that she was overwhelmed because the restaurant had to throw out healthy, gourmet, prepared meals because . . . "It was a struggle to find someone to donate the food to because of restrictions." She had limited space in the freezers and was told to throw out the food. We both looked at each other and our faces lit up when we both realized . . . and as Lori simultaneously responded: "There must be a food distribution solution!"

Praise God! This is how NOURISH JOY began!

Helping Others is Contagious!

Since our inception, we have accomplished many important milestones in our ministry mission to support the following causes, with miraculous outcomes:

single parent family of 5 in need of food and financial support during a crisis & provided resources so that their electric was kept on;
medical treatment for the sick, many with terminal diagnoses;
providing grocery store gift cards with a Biblical word of hope while shopping for food in our Bible Fellowship Program;
walking through streets ministry handing out bags of groceries to the needy in our food distribution program;
paying-it-forward at local coffee shops at the drive-thru or in store;
wellness services program accessibility with free services to those who could not pay us back;
prayer support with our weekly prayer box ministry program, to name a few.
